There are many parents today who want to know the best school that provides the skills needed to prepare a child to start primary school at a level that will prevent him or her from having difficulty learning when he or she starts primary school.

If you would like to take a child to Don Bosco Kimihurura Nursery School, we spoke to the Principal and she explained to us in detail about the school and told us the requirements for the child to be allowed to attend:

My name is Sr Marie Josée Uwizera and I am the Principal of Don Bosco Nursery School at Kimihurura in IFAK. Don Bosco Nursery School is the School owned by Salesians of Don Bosco.

The school has Level One A and B and Level three. The school also has 6 qualified educators and assistants in hygiene activities namely: Hygiene and Cooking Officer and Hygiene and Child Care Officer in the bathroom. In compliance with the curriculum for nursery education, the School provides courses for nursery children in the French language. In the second and third levels of nursery Kinyarwanda and English courses are added.

What about the requirements?

Don Bosco Nursery School welcomes 3-years old in level one.. The school also has a position in the level two for children of 4 years of age and level three for children of five.

What advantage do you have in nursery education?

It is true that in our schools as clergy, we strive to ensure that the education of the children goes hand in hand with discipline. We strive for the child to grow physically and spiritually. We also know that the upbringing of the child is derived from the caregivers, those whom she/he lives with and the community around. It is in this context that, like Don Bosco, we provide the children with knowledge, train them to love, facilitate and build trust in them and grow up loving God, the country and the environment.

What courses are offered at Don Bosco Kimihurura Nursery School?

As I mentioned above, our School offers a variety of skills in these courses:

Pre-Counting (where we teach children to count)

Pre-Lecture (where we teach children to read)

Pré-writing (where we teach children to write)

Observation Langage

Sociability (Where we teach him to live with others).
